This course prepares candidates for the V302-A, Installation, Servicing and Operation of Vending Machines - Electrical Safety.

Course content

  • Understand the basic electrical quantities of current, voltage, resistance and power, and how they relate to each other.

 

  • Understand the principles of series and parallel circuits and the resistance of conductors.

 

  • Understand earthing, bonding and protective systems.

 

  • Understand basic and fault protection, and the inspection of electrical equipment for safety.

 

  • Understand the effects of electric shock

 

The test specification for this course:

 

  • Multiple-choice written test: 35 questions, multiple choice.

  • Practical assessment: Safe Isolation.

It covers the foundation knowledge for working safely with electrical equipment and appliances, hence it is ideal for newcomers to the industry. It also provides 'refresher' knowledge for more experienced operators looking to work towards a recognised accredited award, the V302 City and Guilds Accredited Programme.
