Health and Safety in  a Construction Environment

This qualification is for learners wishing to qualify for the CSCS Uk Ltd Green Card to access construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.

 

The qualification covers the health and safety knowledge that is required to gain a CSCS Green Card for access to construction sites in the UK

 

It ensures the basic legislative requirements regarding appropriate precautions are met by employers responsible for employees, work placement students and apprentices.

Course content

  • Know the principles of Risk Assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work

  • Know the importance of safe manual handling in the workplace

  • Know the importance of working safely at height in the workplace 

  • Know the riska to health within a construction environment

 

The test specification for this qualification:
 

  • On-Line multiple choice test: Level 1 Health and Safety in a construction environment.

  • Duration: 70 minutes / Number of questions: 45

  • This is a “closed book” exam, so candidates cannot refer to any written materials during the exam
