This qualification is intended for experienced electricians working in electrical contracting companies who have responsibility for the quality of the design, specification, installation and testing process. It addresses, in particular, the implications of the Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations.

Practical assignment: Design, construction management and Initial Verification of Electrical Installations.
Permitted materials - Any relevant resource material such as BS7671, GN1, GN3, IET On-Site Guide.
Written paper - 3 hours, short answer questions: Design and Verification of Electrical Installation.

Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles, and experience of electrical installation work, including inspection and testing.
Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds 2360, 2330, 2357 or a level 3 2365 would be sufficient evidence of this, plus either 2394, 2395 or 2391 inspection and testing qualifications .
Candidates should also preferably hold a current 17th Edition qualification.
